Titans to Present Research in Washington, D.C.

Two student research projects have been accepted for presentation at the April 19-20 “Posters on the Hill” event in Washington, D.C. The program, established by the Council on Undergraduate Research, is an opportunity for select students from across the country to present their research before legislative leaders, federal agency program officers and the press.

Representing Cal State Fullerton will be:

  • Alumna Brenna Biggs ‘15 (B.S. chemistry) presenting on “A Sustainable Alternative Energy Device to Convert Carbon Dioxide to Power.” Her faculty mentor was John Haan, assistant professor of chemistry and biochemistry.
  • Senior liberal studies major Alysia Vazquez, sophomore human services major Anna Ly, junior human services major Chelsea Cordoba and Joo H “Julie” Park ’15 (B.S. child and adolescent development) will present “Jumpstart Program and Its Impact on Low-Income Preschool Children’s Language, Literacy and Social Development.” Their faculty mentor is Shu-Chen “Jenny” Yen, associate professor of child and adolescent studies.
