The College of Health and Human Development is sponsoring the third annual Titans Stepping Up Shoe Drive, a campaign to collect and distribute more than 2,000 pairs of shoes to children and families in the local community.
Gently worn or new shoes will be collected through March 17, then given to homeless and domestic violence shelters, foster youth and job development agencies, and other community-based agencies.
Collection boxes can be found across campus, including in the Education- Classroom, Kinesiology and Health Science and Humanities-Social Sciences buildings; College Park; Student Recreation Center; and the residence halls.
Volunteers are needed to help sort, clean and package the shoes for distribution.
For more information or to volunteer, contact Michelle Berelowitz at 657-278-5681.
