California State University Chancellor Timothy P. White on the passage of California budget June 15: “The budget adopted by the Legislature takes another important step toward supporting California State University efforts to expand opportunity, empower timely degree completion and close the achievement gap for low-income and underserved students.
“If signed by the governor, the budget will enable the university to admit more California high school graduates and community college transfer students. The budget also provides one-time funds to bolster CSU Graduation Initiative efforts and address critical infrastructure.
