To help identify studies that will narrow the health care gap for underserved communities, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) recently appointed Sora Tanjasiri, chair and professor of health science, to its Health Disparities and Equity Promotion Study Section of the Center for Scientific Review.
In this role, Tanjasiri will evaluate the scientific and technical quality of grant proposals submitted to the NIH. Her six-year term runs from July 1, 2016, to July 30, 2022.
