Debbie Rose, professor of kinesiology and director of CSUF’s Center for Successful Aging, was installed as the 2016-17 president of the National Academy of Kinesiology at the organization’s Oct. 6-8 annual meeting in New Mexico. She also presided over the conference’s session on “Enhancing Human Health and Performance.” Promoting the study and application of human movement and physical activity, the academy honors scholars and professionals who have made significant contributions to the fields of kinesiology and physical education.
Raman Unnikrishnan, former dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science and professor of electrical and computer engineering, is the 2016 recipient of the American Society for Engineering Education’s Electrical and Computer Engineering Division. The award recognizes Unnikrishnan‘s creative and innovative work in electrical and computer engineering education, as well as his leadership roles in major institutions.
