Innovating Family Business Subject of Feb. 15 Workshop

Ken Gilbert, president of BCR Hawaii, a business consulting firm, will discuss “Innovation in a Family Business,” as the keynote speaker for Cal State Fullerton’s Center for Family Business’s Feb. 15 program.

The 7:30-10 a.m. breakfast program will be held at the CSUF Irvine Campus at 3 Banting Ave., Irvine, 92618. Parking is $8, payable at the kiosk at the front door of the building.

The Center for Family Business operates within Cal State Fullerton’s Mihaylo College of Business and Economics. A partnership between the University and the business community, the center offers various opportunities for family-owned businesses to learn, receive information and network. The center offers programs and workshops throughout Southern California.

  • March 21 — Third annual Family Business Hall of Fame Awards featuring Lynsi Snyder, president and owner of In-N-Out Burger
  • April 25 — “Changes in Insurance With the New Administration: What it Means to You and Your Business” 
  • May 16 — “Entitlemania: How Not to Spoil Your Kids and What to Do if You Have” with Richard Watts of Watts Family Office

Programs (other than the Family Business Hall of Fame) are free for first-time family business attendees interested in becoming a center member. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 657-278-4182 or emailing cfb@fullerton.edu. Seating is limited.
