Affordable Learning Solutions (AL$) is a CSU-wide project that enables faculty to choose and provide affordable, quality educational content for their students.
By reducing students’ material expenses, more students can acquire the course materials they need to succeed and benefit from their classes.
On Tuesday, March 14 from 1 to 4 p.m., an Affordable Learning Solutions Expo and Faculty Recognition Event will be held in the Titan Student Union, Pavilions B and C. The event is hosted by the Titan Bookstore and the department of Online Education and Training (OET).
AL$ Ambassadors (those who participated in professional development to learn more about open educational resources and other low-cost, affordable, instructional materials) will be recognized. In addition, various vendors will be on campus demonstrating products and programs aimed at saving students money. This event is a chance for faculty to investigate low and no-cost quality options for course materials and learn about open educational resources, library eBooks, and the Titan Direct Access program. In addition to this information, the event will feature giveaways and refreshments.
