Cal State Fullerton’s emergency management coordinator is traveling across the country to serve as a Red Cross volunteer working with victims of the recent hurricanes.
Susan Fisher is being deployed to Houston, Texas, as part of the second phase of support to the area. She will be serving for two weeks.
“Many people are still out of their homes, or have returned to difficult situations, so the Red Cross is mobilizing supplies to that area now,” said Fisher. “Two major storms in a short time have really stretched volunteers, so they are happy when people like myself are able to go.”
