Meet Jin Woo Lee, assistant professor of mechanical engineering, who joined the university this academic year. Before pursuing a career in academia, he designed and manufactured automated packaging machines. Lee’s research focuses on such areas as product and medical device design and engineering education. His teaching interests include design processes, computer-aided design and manufacturing. A National Institutes of Health Fellow, Lee earned a doctorate and master’s degree from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University, all in mechanical engineering.
