In the final event of the Big West Track and Field Championships, the Cal State Fullerton men’s track and field 4x400m relay team defeated Long Beach State by 0.02 seconds to win the race and clinch the squad’s third straight championship on Saturday. The Titans finished with two points more than Long Beach in the final standings.
“It’s special,” head coach Marques Barosso said. “We have a bunch of young guys and a new team. Everyone came here for the culture of winning. I just let them know that I’m here to put the team together and they build the culture. They’re the ones that keep us winning.”
The Big West title is the men’s team’s fifth in program history, with all five championships occurring since the 2017 season. Read more at Titan Athletics.
