What:
California State University, Fullerton’s Gianneschi Center for Nonprofit Research hosts its 10th annual Summer School for Nonprofits Aug. 10-13. The program will offer two free seminars — a Board of Equalization nonprofit tax seminar and a federal grants workshop, as well as 24 for-fee master class seminars covering such topics as marketing, grants, leadership, fiscal management, legal responsibility and community relations.

Wednesday, Aug. 12 1-4 p.m.
2014 Federal Grants Workshop, sponsored by Rep. Edward Royce, will share information regarding federal grants, other sources of public funding, search tools for opportunities to find funding and information on the role of a congressional office in the application process.
Thursday, Aug. 13 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
North Orange County Nonprofit Seminar for Establishing and Running Nonprofit and Exempt Organizations presented by the State Board of Equalization. The free seminar features presentations on property tax exemptions; sales, use and employment taxes; compliance for existing exempt organizations; regulation of charities and fundraisers; and IRS Form 990.
Cost:
$150 per person beyond the free programs. Registration is required for any aspect of the program, including the free seminars. Discounts are available for university members and students. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.
Parking:
Parking permits are required and cost $8 daily. More information is available online.
