Artist Lexa Walsh‘s “Sisters InfoShop” is an exhibition and socially engaged project at Grand Central Art Center in Santa Ana co-designed with the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange. Incorporating conversational sculptures reconfigured from vintage school desks and prayer kneelers and a kiosk reminiscent of punk infoshops, the project aims to spark connection while highlighting the sisters’ legacy of activism through a feminist lens. Learn more about the project and meet Sister Ellen, a miming nun who activates the space every month at the Santa Ana Artwalk.

“Sisters InfoShop” will be on display at the Grand Central Art Center until May 14, 2023. Programming from the Sisters activate the installation on the first Saturday every month during the Downtown Santa Ana Artwalk.
