Larry Junies, a sophomore communications major, presents a 6 p.m. Feb. 10 program in which he interviews CSUF alumnus Danny Mendoza, founder of Together We Rise, a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the way youth navigate through the foster care system.
This is the second year that the Guardian Scholar has put on a talk show for the campus community.
“Larry’s dream is to become a talk show host like Steve Harvey,” explained Deanna Merino-Contino, director of the Center for Scholars. “This event is completely student-run and led. Larry gets all the sponsorships, donations, guests and musical acts on his own.”
The 90-minute program in Portola Pavilion of the Titan Student Union. It is co-sponsored by Associated Students Inc. and the College of Communications Interclub Council. Admission is free.
