Brig. Gen. Joseph Edwards II, commanding general of 104th Division at Joint Base Lewis-McChord near Tacoma, Washington, is the keynote speaker for Cal State Fullerton’s 10 a.m. Dec. 15 commissioning ceremony in which four U.S. Army cadets from the Reserve Officer Training Corps will accept commission for duty as second lieutenants.
The cadets, who are completing or recently completed their bachelor’s degrees at Cal State Fullerton, are:
Robert Bautista of West Covina, criminal justice
Michael Do of Santa Ana, mechanical engineering
Jacob Rubio of Valencia, biological sciences
Alex Shen of Fullerton, psychology
Once commissioned, most of the soon-to-be new officers will undergo up to a year of officer training, then report to their respective duty stations in the United States or abroad.
