Douglas Box, certified family business adviser and mediator, is the speaker for the Thursday, Jan. 19, Cal State Fullerton Center for Family Business program, “The Rise and Fall of a Legendary Texas Family Businessman.”
Box is founder and senior consultant with Box Family Advisors, an independent consulting practice dedicated to the family-based enterprise. He is the author of “Texas Patriarch: A Legacy Lost” about his father, Cloyce Box, who left a career in professional football and became a businessman in oil and gas.
The 4:30-7 p.m. program will be held at the CSUF Irvine Campus at 3 Banting Ave., Irvine. Parking is $8, payable at the kiosk at the front door of the building.
The Center for Family Business operates within Cal State Fullerton’s Mihaylo College of Business and Economics. A partnership between the University and the business community, the center offers various opportunities for family-owned businesses to learn, receive information and network. The center offers programs and workshops throughout Southern California.
