Cal State Fullerton will celebrate Latinx Heritage Month from Sept. 15 through Oct. 15. This annual celebration honors the histories, cultures, and contributions of Latinx and Hispanic communities, both on the CSUF campus and beyond.
The Office of Engagement and Belonging welcomes event submissions for inclusion in this year’s Latinx Heritage Month calendar.
Sample event ideas include:
- Cultural workshops: Dance, cooking, language, crafts and more
- Guest speaker series: Hear from change-makers and cultural leaders
- Film screenings: Feature films that explore Latinx narratives
- Panel discussions: Engage in dialogue on identity, history and current issues
- Musical performances: Highlight traditional or contemporary genres
- Art exhibitions: Celebrate visual storytelling by students, faculty or local artists
- Lectures and presentations: Promote academic exploration of Latinx topics
