Call for Black History Month 2026 Programs

Share This:

Cal State Fullerton is looking forward to celebrating Black History Month in February. The annual event is a great opportunity for the campus community to honor the rich contributions of Black people, history and culture. The Office of Engagement and Belonging invites submissions for events, workshops, panels and performances to highlight these vibrant traditions and histories on the dedicated Black History Month webpage.

Submissions should aim to educate, engage and inspire the campus community about the diverse aspects of Black heritage. Creativity and collaboration in designing events that are inclusive and reflective of the broad spectrum of experiences within these communities are encouraged. Examples of submissions include:

  • Cultural workshops: Dance, cooking, language and art
  • Guest speaker series: Invite influential speakers to share insights
  • Film screenings: Highlight films that explore Black themes
  • Panel discussions: Address important topics related to identity, history and contemporary issues
  • Musical performances: Showcase traditional or contemporary music genres
  • Art exhibitions: Feature student artwork that embodies the spirit of the celebration
  • Lectures and presentations

Submissions can be entered by completing the Call for Programs form anytime during the month of February, as the website is updated on a rolling basis.
