Thanks to the assistance of the Center for Healthy Neighborhoods tutoring effort, Mixtly Galarza, at right, graduated from high school and is now attending Cal State Fullerton. A tutoring program offered through Cal State Fullerton’s Center for Healthy Neighborhoods has been a hit with participating students, such as Mixtly Galarza, who enrolled at Cal State Fullerton last fall.

Galarza found herself struggling during her junior year of high school and turned to the center’s twice-weekly tutoring sessions. She learned new study techniques and got assistance in applying to college. Earlier this month, she began her second semester as a Titan.
