On June 13 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., the CSUF Police Department will conduct an internal departmental active shooter and mass casualty training at the Ruby Gerontology Center. This is not a campuswide training, and no action is needed.
During the training, campus community members may notice an increase in law enforcement, fire department, and EMS personnel in and around the Ruby Gerontology Center buildings, as well as in adjacent parking lots and roadways.
Should an actual emergency occur during the training, the university’s emergency notification system will be activated, and campus community members may receive alerts via text message, phone call or email, depending on the type of emergency.
For questions, contact the CSUF Emergency Management & Continuity Bureau at [email protected]. During the training, non-emergency questions can be directed to the CSUF Police Department’s 24-hour dispatch center at 657-278-2515 or 911 in an emergency.
