CSUF - Native American Heritage Month

This month, Cal State Fullerton celebrates Native American Heritage Month. Cal State Fullerton is on lands originally cared for by the Tongva and Acjachemen Peoples. The university acknowledges that this land holds great historical, spiritual, and personal significance for its original inhabitants, and we honor their enduring connection to it.

November was chosen to celebrate Native American Heritage Month because it is a time when many Native American tribes historically gather for cultural, spiritual and social events. Recognizing Native American Heritage Month is a meaningful step in fostering a campus culture that values equity and inclusion. Throughout November, CSUF encourages all Titans to engage in activities that promote greater understanding of Native American history, culture and contemporary issues.

The Native American and Indigenous Resource Center will host its first Native American Heritage Month Kickoff and Resource Fair in the Central Quad at 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3. The resource fair will include several on- and off-campus Native organizations with a few vendors and some Indian Tacos for participants. Visit the Native American Heritage Month website for more activities.
