The Cal State Fullerton Police Department, CSUF’s Office of Emergency Management and Continuity, and the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) are partnering to bring an interactive earthquake simulator to the CSUF campus quad Oct. 15 from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This event is part of the Great California ShakeOut Tour from Oct. 13-16 and allows students, staff, faculty and the public to experience and prepare for earthquakes ranging from 3.0 to the intensity of a 7.0 magnitude earthquake in a safe, controlled environment.
Emergency management experts will be on-site to answer questions and provide resources on earthquake readiness, ensuring the Titan community is equipped with practical knowledge to stay safe.
This is the only Los Angeles County or Orange County stop for the earthquake simulator, which is also scheduled to stop at UC Davis, San Francisco Zoo (Oct. 14) and Waterfront Park in San Diego (Oct. 16). For more information on the tour, visit: https://news.caloes.ca.gov/greatcashakeout/
