More than 4,700 Titans attended the Aug. 27 and 28 Discoverfest at Cal State Fullerton, breaking the biannual event’s attendance record. The two-day student life event launches the beginning of each semester and invites students to explore over 300 clubs and programs.

Discoverfest saw its largest fall attendance in history with 4,761 attendees and 281 student organizations across both days of the event, compared to fall 2024’s turnout of 2,772 attendees for the event, said CSUF Student Life and Leadership Director Emily Whitt.

Hosted by CSUF’s Student Life and Leadership, Discoverfest is the largest student organization event on campus designed to help each club showcase its mission and find like-minded students to join.

“It’s really for clubs to be able to advertise and display everything that they have to offer to students,” said Whitt. “We have over 250 clubs that show up each day, and we get tons of students to come out and interact with all the different groups, and they get to display what they offer.”

Participating clubs included faith-based, special interest, academic/honor societies, club sports, cultural clubs, sororities and fraternities, and service-based organizations.

“I feel like it’s important to be connected within the community that you’re going to school with. It’s just a nice way to give back and also stay connected, as well as being a part of something more,” said Lincy Sandoval, president of Sigma Theta Psi. The multicultural sorority helps female students find culturally accepting spaces on campus through the chapter’s philanthropy and community service efforts.

In addition to fraternity and sorority life, Discoverfest also introduced students to professional development clubs like the Entertainment and Tourism Club. The club offers a variety of resources and hands-on opportunities to help students explore careers within entertainment and tourism.

“It’s a great way to get yourself well known and be more proactive and extroverted, to get yourself inside the door, especially with these industries,” said Jarely Martinez, the club’s events director.
