Associated Students Inc. is introducing six new funding and resource opportunities for Cal State Fullerton student clubs and organizations through the ASI Student Wellness Initiative Student Club Support program.

Faculty and staff advisors can help student leaders access these resources to strengthen their organizations, develop wellness programming and expand participation in campus life.

As part of the ASI Student Wellness Initiative, the program will roll out through the 2026–27 academic year. Opportunities include funding for new organizations, wellness grants, event equipment, conference travel, organizational recognition and fundraising through ASI elections.

“Student leaders are very intentional about creating initiatives and programs that bring campus groups together while providing equal and inclusive access to students across campus,” said Ashley Zazueta, ASI student government coordinator. “We’re excited to collaborate with our diverse campus community and help make CSUF feel more like home.”

Current opportunities

  • Club Establishment Seed Funding: Launched on Sept. 25, this initiative provides newly recognized student clubs and organizations with $500 to support recruitment, outreach and early organizational development.
  • ASWI Community Wellness Grant: This competitive grant supports new initiatives that address at least two dimensions of wellness and are free and open to all currently enrolled CSUF students. Recognized clubs and organizations can apply online. ASI will also provide logistical support to help selected organizations implement their ideas. Applications close Nov. 2.

Upcoming opportunities

  • ASI Club Rental Support Investment: Beginning in fall 2026, student organizations will have access to an ASI-managed inventory of event supplies through a reservation and checkout system. Equipment will include A/V supplies, outdoor lighting, tables and canopies, helping clubs reduce external rental costs.
  • ASI Elections Club Fundraising: Applications open in spring 2027. For every ASI election vote cast, $1 will be allocated to a participating student organization of the voter’s choice, with funding available for up to 10,000 votes.
  • ASI Travel Excellence & Access Monetary Support (TEAMS): Launching in spring 2027, TEAMS will expand existing travel support to help up to 30 individual students access regional, national and professional conferences, with $1,000 in new or additional support per student.
  • Tuffy Awards Support: Additional ASI funding will expand monetary recognition to all 12 Tuffy Awards categories, with each receiving a $1,000 award. Hosted by Student Life and Leadership each spring, the awards recognize student organizations’ accomplishments.

“From my experience as a club president, one of the biggest challenges student organizations face is funding,” said Deniz Suzer, ASI board of directors chair. “Fundraising for a club is not always easy, especially when you’re first starting out.”

Faculty and staff advisors are encouraged to share these opportunities with club officers, help students identify programs that align with their organizations’ goals, and encourage early planning for applications and events. Advisors working with newly recognized organizations can highlight seed funding, while those supporting student research and professional development can help students prepare for upcoming travel opportunities.

Developed through student research and surveys, the six programs support the connections, leadership experiences and sense of belonging students build through clubs and organizations.
