Cal State Fullerton will celebrate Black History Month in February. This annual event is an opportunity for the community to honor the rich contributions of Black people, history and culture.
The Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Equity Programs invites submissions for events, workshops, panels and performances to highlight these vibrant traditions and histories on the dedicated Black History Month webpage.
Submissions should aim to educate, engage and inspire campus community members with the diverse aspects of Black heritage.
Examples of submissions include:
- Cultural workshops: Dance, cooking, language and art
- Guest speaker series: Invite influential speakers to share insights
- Film screenings: Highlight films that explore Black themes
- Panel discussions: Address important topics related to identity, history and contemporary issues
- Musical performances: Showcase traditional or contemporary music genres
- Art exhibitions: Feature student artwork that embodies the spirit of the celebration
- Lectures and presentations
Submissions can be entered by completing the Call for Programs form anytime during the month of February, as the website is updated on a rolling basis.
