Cal State Fullerton’s Titan Manufacturing Day 2023 on Oct. 6, “Discovering Manufacturing Futures,” brought together more than 400 industry leaders, students, educators and the local community to showcase cutting-edge advancements and inspire future careers in the manufacturing field.
“Titan Manufacturing Day 2023 exceeded our expectations in promoting the future of sustainable manufacturing,” says Sagil James, associate professor of mechanical engineering and lead instructor of the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Certificate program at CSUF. “The event’s success lies in its ability to inspire students and showcase the advancements in GreenTech Manufacturing and the connections forged between academia and industry. It’s a testament to our commitment to nurturing talent, fostering innovation and driving positive change in the manufacturing sector, leaving a lasting impact on our students and the industry.”
Through engaging workshops, interactive exhibits and insightful guest speaker presentations, participants were able to gain firsthand experience of the innovative technologies and processes shaping this industry.
Various companies and organizations were present, including Altair Engineering, Caltrans: California Department of Transportation, Climate Reality Project, Curtiss-Wright Corp., Hexagon AB, Quality Engineering Manufacturing Inc. and SourceGraphics.
Students from several school districts within Orange County and beyond, including Anaheim Union High School District, Fullerton Joint Union High School District, Tustin Unified School District, Santa Unified School District, Los Alamitos Unified School District and more, also attended the event.
