At Cal State Fullerton, collaboration is the heart of innovation, and this year, a new partnership between the College of Business and Economics and the Department of Outreach, Recruitment and Orientation brought that spirit to life in a bold new way. Together, they launched “An Inside Look at the Business Major,” a newly developed academic college tour experience designed to meet students’ desire for a deeper connection with their future academic homes — a first-of-its-kind initiative for the college.

At the event, more than 250 newly admitted business students and their supporters had the opportunity to get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at what it means to be a Titan studying business. The day began with a campus tour, allowing students to experience the vibrancy of CSUF’s community. But the true highlight was a specialized tour of Mihaylo Hall, where students explored state-of-the-art classrooms, collaborative study spaces and centers of excellence, giving them a tangible feel for where they would learn, lead and launch their careers.
The experience culminated in an engaging presentation, where countless opportunities available within the college were shared, such as cutting-edge programs, professional development resources, internship pipelines, global learning experiences and diverse academic pathways designed to fit each student’s passion and career goals. As a strategic yield initiative, this program played a pivotal role in encouraging students to say “yes” to CSUF. Of the students who attended the tour, 84% accepted their offer of admission before the intent to enroll deadline.
Through collaboration, innovation and a shared commitment to student success, CSUF once again set a new standard for engagement and built the foundation for the next generation of business leaders.
