This summer, Cal State Fullerton alum Juliet Lemar joined the ranks of Emmy-winning journalists, earning the prestigious award for her powerful multimedia reporting in Santa Barbara County.
Lemar’s journey in journalism began at CSUF’s Daily Titan, where she gained hands-on newsroom experience and met her husband, fellow Titan and now software engineer, Dan Beam. That foundation of storytelling, teamwork and community focus became a cornerstone for her career.
Since graduation, Lemar has built a strong body of character-driven reporting, covering breaking news as well as investigations into sex trafficking and public health crises. Along the way, she has earned not only an Emmy but also five Golden Mike Awards for journalistic excellence. Often working solo as a multimedia journalist, she films, writes, edits and reports her own stories.
Her Emmy-winning work highlights journalism that informs, uplifts and drives real change, making her achievement a proud milestone for both her and the Titan community.
