CSUF Hosts Inaugural Educational Leadership Alumni Mixer

Share This:

The educational doctorate program hosted its first Ed.D. alumni mixer in late April, bringing together a vibrant community of current students, faculty and alumni. The event marked a significant milestone, commemorating the success and influence of the 420 graduates since the program’s inception in 2008.

The mixer, held at the Golleher Alumni House, focused on networking and exchanging stories that highlight how the Ed.D. program has positively impacted educational systems from pre-K through higher education. Attendees shared experiences and discussed the transformative roles they play in education, attributing their professional achievements to the skills and insights gained through their studies at CSUF.

“This event not only reconnects classmates but also bridges the gap between current students and their future peers,” said Nancy Watkins, associate professor of educational leadership. “It’s inspiring to see how our graduates are making significant contributions across various educational contexts.”

The mixer is expected to become an annual event, continuing relationships among the university’s alumni, faculty and current students, and strengthening the community’s commitment to educational excellence.
