Cal State Fullerton is preparing to celebrate LGBTQ+ History Month 2025 from Oct. 1-31. This month serves as a meaningful opportunity for everyone in the campus community to celebrate the history, contributions, and diversity of LGBTQ+ individuals and their communities.
The Office of Engagement and Belonging welcomes event submissions for inclusion in this year’s LGBTQ+ History Month calendar. Programs that educate, engage, and inspire the campus community about LGBTQ+ history and lived experiences are encouraged.
Sample event ideas include:
- Identity workshops: Dive into conversations on gender, sexual orientation and intersectional identities within the LGBTQ+ community.
- Queer speaker series: Feature speakers who can share personal insights, research or experiences related to LGBTQ+ issues.
- Film screenings: Showcase films that highlight LGBTQ+ themes, histories and stories.
- Panel discussions: Explore significant topics like LGBTQ+ activism, social justice and current issues facing the community.
- Drag performances: Celebrate the creativity, self-expression and cultural significance of drag.
- Art exhibitions: Display student artwork that embodies the spirit of LGBTQ+ visibility and celebration.
To be considered, please complete the LGBTQ+ History Month submission form by Sept. 26 at 5 p.m.
