The Cal State Fullerton Police Department’s Community Police Academy provides CSUF students, staff and faculty the opportunity to learn from subject matter experts and gain valuable insight into the field of law enforcement. The academy is a six-week class offered one night each week.
The academy will help expand knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of a law enforcement officer, address misconceptions regarding decisions made during critical situations, and engage in activities and tours.
Through the Community Police Academy, the department strives to increase public safety, build trust, engage in perspective-taking and develop a partnership with the diverse community they serve.
The academy is not intended to train those seeking to enter law enforcement. It is geared toward those looking for insight into day-to-day operations.
