CSUF Police Empowers Titan Community Through Active Shooter Response Training

Share This:

The CSUF Police Department is offering free hands-on active shooter training on Nov. 12 from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Titan Student Union Portola Pavilion.

A sworn officer will deliver the presentation and supervise the exercise while a community service officer in a padded suit will play the part of the aggressor. Soft props will be scattered through the space to simulate items used to distract or incapacitate the aggressor.

Participants should note that this is a physical activity that may include simulated gunshot noises by the facilitator, a simulated weapon, yelling and interaction to subdue the aggressor on behalf of the participants. A safe zone is established for those who wish to refrain from participating in the hands-on portion of the training.

For questions regarding the training exercise, email Marissa Garza at csufpresentations@fullerton.edu. Fill out the online form to register.
