CSUF’s Pollak Library Celebrates Library Week in April

Cal State Fullerton will celebrate Library Week April 7-10 at the Pollak Library. Students, faculty and staff are invited to several events throughout the week that highlight library resources, artificial intelligence and more.

All week, the Pollak Library will host its Instagram Scavenger Hunt, where participants can follow @PollakLibrary to join and find an egg to win a prize. The annual Library Peeps Contest will also take place April 7-14. Campus community members are invited to vote for their favorite Peep diorama, and the top three winners will be announced April 14.

Meet Your Librarian, April 7, noon to 2 p.m.
Location: Pollak Library, first floor, in front of the circulation desk

Meet CSUF’s librarians, ask questions and learn about library resources. Librarians will also bring their favorite treats to share.

AI Talks: “Beyond the Stacks,” April 8, 11 a.m. 
Location: Pollak Library, second floor, by the Makerspace Service Desk

Join CSUF faculty and staff to explore AI topics like generative AI tools, copyright and Jupyter Hub, which is managed by Titan Computing Hub.

Celebrating Published Faculty, April 9, 2-4 p.m. 
Location: Pollak Library, first floor, around the corner from the Student Genius Center

This faculty event will honor faculty members’ published works with the Faculty Development Center.

Makerspace Community Quilt and More, April 10, noon to 3 p.m.
Location: Pollak Library, Room 215

Contribute to CSUF’s community quilt, which will be displayed in the library as a part of the “Women’s Work: Self-Expression Through Fiber Art” exhibit. The event will also feature hands-on activities like virtual reality and button-making.
