The Arboretum and Botanical Garden at Cal State Fullerton is one of just three arboreta in the state of California and one of 28 arboreta in the world to achieve a Level IV accreditation from ArbNet. Not only is it home to a beautiful, world-class variety of historical and living plant collections, but it also serves many purposes on the CSUF campus. It’s a living laboratory for research, an outdoor classroom for students of all ages and a resource for fostering the next generation of environmental leaders.
The arboretum offers a program called the Engaging Environmental Experiences (E3) Internship, an invaluable opportunity for CSUF students. Interns get hands-on experience where they develop cross-disciplinary skills and deepen their understanding of horticultural practices and ecological principles.
There are plans to expand the E3 program, such as creating paid leadership internships, and the arboretum looks to the community for support to help reach these goals. That’s why on March 6, it will participate in CSUF’s annual fundraising initiative, #TitansGive.
For just 24 hours on this day, the arboretum will be accepting donations to go toward expanding its E3 Internship. Supporting this cause is not only an investment in the next generation of environmentally conscious leaders, but it also contributes to the enhancement of the local ecosystem.
Let’s nurture a brighter future for generations to come. Join the countdown to #TitansGive on March 6 and get ready to give!
