Share This:

On April 24, Professor Marlin E. Blaine from CSUF’s Department of English, Comparative Literature and Linguistics will deliver one of this year’s Shakespeare Birthday Lectures in Stratford-upon-Avon, England.

The Shakespeare Birthday Lecture is an annual event sponsored by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and the Shakespeare Institute to commemorate the life and works of the playwright and poet William Shakespeare. Blaine, who recently co-authored the “Book Culture in Shakespeare’s Stratford: The Quiney Connections,” will also participate in an informational event about the collections of the SBT at the Houses of Parliament in Westminster, London, England, on April 22; a parade in honor of Shakespeare in Stratford on April 25; and a memorial service for the author in Stratford’s Holy Trinity Church, where Shakespeare was baptized and buried.
