Four Cal State Fullerton College of Business and Economics finance students Mateo Garcia, Ryan Flores, Aaron Herrera and Cesar Cordova have received full-time job offers at UBS Investment Bank and Wells Fargo Investment Bank after interning as investment banking analysts. Their achievements are a testament to the high caliber and reputation of a CSUF business education in the investment community.
Investment banking analysts work on the execution of complex financial transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, equity, debt offerings, and corporate restructurings to create detailed financial models, conduct research, prepare presentations and perform valuation analyses.
These roles require strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment, all attainable through the versatile and experientially focused coursework at Cal State Fullerton. These positions offer exposure to high-level corporate finance, strategic decision-making and the inner workings of global capital markets, making them a coveted and rewarding starting point for a financial career.

“These recent student successes in securing full-time investment banking positions at leading global firms speak directly to the impact of our Department of Finance. Investment banking is one of the most competitive fields in business, with positions traditionally filled by graduates from the nation’s most elite universities. The fact that our students have earned these coveted roles demonstrates that our finance program stands among the very best in the country,” said Victor Dosti, lecturer in finance and faculty mentor.
“This achievement highlights the department’s commitment to academic rigor, technical excellence and real-world application. It reflects the dedication of our faculty, who bring both scholarly expertise and professional insight into the classroom, and the ambition of our students, who rise to meet and exceed national standards,” said Dosti. “Together, they continue to elevate the reputation of our finance department, proving that the opportunities and preparation provided here open doors to the highest levels of the financial industry.”
