Graduate Student Named 2022 American Council of Engineering Companies Scholar

Mika Carty, an environmental engineering graduate student, was awarded a prestigious American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) California Scholarship. Mika is among 13 students across California selected by the ACEC Scholarship Trustees to receive a scholarship.

ACEC California is a 60-plus, year-old, nonprofit association of private consulting engineering and land surveying firms. The ACEC California Scholarship Foundation was created to help today’s top engineering and land surveying students become tomorrow’s best engineers in industry. Scholarships are awarded based on merit to junior, senior or master’s degree students that demonstrate an interest and commitment to pursuing a career in consulting engineering or land surveying.

Mika with her environmental engineering degree, hopes to build upon her previous experience and gain a holistic understanding of major environmental topics in order to eventually work for an engineering firm. Mika is motivated to excel in her academic endeavors with the knowledge she has the public support of prestigious engineering companies across the country.
