June Kearney, former assistant basketball coach and a director of compliance and academics, who retired in 2005, has died. Kearney contributed to numerous university committees promoting equality for women in athletics during her time at CSUF.
Kearney’s calm, winning personality, empathy, smile, and meaningful contributions to the lives of so many are part of her legacy. Her desire to affect others in positive ways will be missed by many longtime friends, former students, athletes, and family. Kearney was a true Titan.
