Pollak Library Hosts TechDay Session on AI and Misinformation

Share This:

As part of TechDay, the Pollak Library invites faculty, staff, students and guests to an interactive session exploring the evolving role of artificial intelligence in media and how easily misinformation can be created and spread. The event will take place April 7 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Pollak Library, Room 214.

In this hands-on presentation, attendees will experience a live deepfake demonstration in the podcast studio, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how synthetic media is produced. The session will also highlight techniques to critically evaluate digital content and provide guidance on using AI tools safely and responsibly.

In addition to the session, the Pollak Library will be tabling throughout the day on the second floor of the Pollak Library from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants can stop by to learn about the Makerspace and make their own buttons.

Whether participants are curious about AI, concerned about misinformation, or just looking to explore new technology, this TechDay event offers something for everyone.
