
Students in Cal State Fullerton’s Sociology of Food class discussed the importance of food in culture, religion and social justice movements. They presented their work as part of the Interfaith Dialogue series “Religion and Food Practices.” The course is taught by Dana Collins, professor of sociology.
The event was sponsored by the Office of Engagement and Belonging and coordinated by interfaith faculty fellow Jessica Moss, lecturer in sociology. During the event, participants learned about Islam and Ramadan, Sikh Langar, and political fasting and hunger strikes.
