The Titan community came together on March 11 for Titans Give, Cal State Fullerton’s annual day of giving, demonstrating what can happen when alumni, faculty, staff and friends unite in support of students. During the 24-hour campaign, more than 3,300 donors contributed nearly $1 million, setting a new revenue record for the initiative. Since Titans Give began, the community has raised more than $4.3 million to support scholarships, academic programs, student organizations, athletics and other priorities across campus.
Throughout the day, donors rallied behind the programs and causes that matter most to them. Matching gift challenges, social media engagement and campuswide participation helped build excitement and momentum, while students shared how donor support has made a meaningful difference in their educational experiences.
For many supporters, giving to Cal State Fullerton is about creating opportunities for the next generation of Titans.
“As a local, minority-owned business, we believe it is our responsibility to support CSUF and its students. We hope that our partnership will give students much needed help, open doors and give them a hand as they start their career journey. I consider this my privilege and blessing,” said Ingrid Otero-Smart, a member of the CSUF Philanthropic Foundation Board of Governors.
Donor support also plays an important role in helping student organizations grow and thrive. Tyler Lambert, president of Titan Ice Hockey, highlighted the impact of the campaign.
“Thanks to the support of the CSUF community and our donors, we have been able to raise awareness and expand our program like never before. Through their contributions, we have been able to attend more away games, host special events that connect with the student body and put the team in a better position than before, which is our ultimate goal. These are only a handful of ways the day of giving helps our program and impacts those who are a part of it,” said Lambert.
The continued growth of Titans Give reflects the generosity and pride of the Titan community. Every gift helps expand opportunities for students and strengthens the programs that support their success.
