Students interested in becoming a Sally Casanova Pre-Doctoral Scholar are encouraged to attend a virtual workshop before the January 2023 application deadline.
The scholarship program provides funding for students interested in applying to research doctoral programs. The deadline to submit a draft application is Jan. 27 for students who are juniors, seniors, or current graduate students. Students must attend a virtual workshop to learn more about this funding opportunity before moving on to the application.

The California State University Pre-Doctoral Scholars Program, commonly known as the Sally Casanova Scholarship, is a systemwide initiative launched in 1989 to ensure that traditionally underrepresented students have more access to doctoral-level degrees and to broaden the pool of talented faculty members inclined to teach at the CSU.
