Chemistry and biochemistry students will present research projects on such topics as fuel cells, atmospheric pollution, starch production, structure and function of proteins and improving student learning during a noon-2 p.m., Friday, May 8, event in Dan Black Hall.

Each semester, more than 100 undergraduates are involved in hands-on research under the mentorship of different faculty members in their research labs, said Peter de Lijser, professor of chemistry and biochemistry. “Their research is a clear example of a high-impact practice that leads to better retention and graduation rates,” he added.

The undergraduate research poster event is open to the public and campus community. More info: Peter de Lijser or 657-278-3290.
