University Funding Supports Faculty Endeavors

This summer, Irena Praitis will be busy delving into the work of Lithuanian poet Sonata Paliulyte, translating 10 of the award-winning poet’s works. The professor of English, comparative literature and linguistics’ work is possible thanks to a junior/senior research grant awarded by Cal State Fullerton.

Praitis is just one of 42 faculty members who have received funding this year for research, projects and performances ranging from Mexican-American music to nutrition/food labeling of snacks and collective intelligence.

The goal is that such support will result in publications, peer-reviewed conference presentations, performances and/or exhibits, pilot project implementation and professional development.

Recipients and the titles of their research can be found on the Research and Sponsored Projects website.
