Take a walk on the wild side this summer at the Fullerton Arboretum, with educational programs ranging from climate change to wolf ambassadors to the spiders of Orange County.
Our Changing Climate: Jere H. Lipps, renowned scholar and director of The Cooper Center, shares his studies of climate change at 7 p.m. July 14 in the Pavilion Classroom. Lipps will discuss the paleoclimate record, climate change models and current observations of our planet. Tickets are $20.
Wolf Ambassadors: Learn about the ecology of wolves, and why they are an important keystone species at this family-friendly event at 7 p.m. July 19 in the Arboretum. Wolf ambassadors, Cael and Damu, will be available for petting and accompanied by Project Wildsong nature experts. Tickets are $10.
Spiders of Orange County: Get a glimpse into the secret lives of arachnids through this presentation by Lenny Vincent, professor emeritus of Fullerton College. Vincent will discuss the common spiders of Orange County and why these creatures are beneficial to gardens and the environment. The Aug. 25 presentation will take place at 7 p.m. in the Pavilion Classroom. Tickets are $20.
