Peter J. Fashing and Nga Nguyen, associate professors of anthropology, are among facutly members to see their research published this summer.

The two educators are among the co-authors of “Dietary Ecology of Fossil Theropithecus: Inferences From Dental Microwear Textures of Extant Geladas From Ecologically Diverse Sites” published in the October issue of the Journal of Human Evolution. Fashing and Nguyen also co-authored an article in the June issue of the International Journal of Acarology, “Bryobia Abyssiniae (Prostigmata: Tetranychidae), a New Species From the Highlands of Ethiopia.”

Tyler D. Parry, assistant professor of African American studies, and American studies graduate student Clayton Finn ’16 (B.A. ethnic studies-African American studies) are co-authors of the two-part article “The N-Word: Finding Clarity in a Redundant Debate” posted on the African American Intellectual History Society website (part one) and the Society for U.S. Intellectual History website (part two).

Economists Radha Bhattacharya, Andrew Gill and Denise Stanley are co-authors of “The Effectiveness of Financial Literacy Instruction: The Role of Individual Development Accounts Participation and the Intensity of Instruction” published in Vol. 27, No. 1 of the Journal of Financial Counseling and Planning. Bhattacharya is director of the Center for Economic Education in the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics.
