With large eyes designed for nocturnal vision, facial disks that direct sound to their ears and feathers that enable silent flight, owls are optimal subjects for artistic interpretation.

The latest exhibit of the Fullerton Arboretum’s Orange County Agricultural and Nikkei Heritage Museum captures the beauty of these creatures. The “Only Owls” exhibit is on display from Nov. 19, 2016 to Jan. 8, 2017, and features a collection of pencil, charcoal, ink, watercolor and woodcut artworks from the Woodson Art Museum.

The free, public exhibit is open Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. and Wednesdays by appointment at 1900 Associated Road, Fullerton, CA 92831.
