Recent campus appointments effective for the spring semester:
Erica Bowers, associate professor of literacy and reading education, interim faculty development center director, effective Jan. 19.
Ed Fink, interim associate dean of the College of Communications, was named acting dean for the college, effective Jan. 17.
Brent Foster, associate professor of communications who had been serving as interim director of the Office of Freshman Programs since renamed First Year Experience, was appointed interim director of undergraduate studies and general education. Mary Ann Villarreal, assistant vice president for strategic initiatives, will serve as interim director of the Office of First Year Experience, until a permanent director is named.
Deanna Leone, executive director of retention initiatives, was appointed interim chief of operations for the Division of Student Affairs, effective Jan. 9. David Forgues, chief of operations for student affairs, began serving as interim vice president for human resources, diversity and inclusion on Jan. 3.
Shelli Wynants, lecturer in child and adolescent studies and a CSUF alumna (‘92 B.A. and ‘95 M.A. psychology, ‘16 Ed.D. – educational leadership), has been appointed interim director of online education and training effective Jan. 9. She will be working in conjunction with Faculty Support Services.
