Programs that focus on how to live and work in a more sustainable world, including a bike festival, commuter fair and farmers market, will be held in celebration of Earth Week at Cal State Fullerton. The Friday, April 14, to Wednesday, April 25, program is free and open to the public.

“The goal of Earth Week is to promote awareness of sustainable living — how to incorporate sustainability into our lives so that we leave the world in better shape than it is today,” explained John Bock, director of Cal State Fullerton’s Center for Sustainability.

Among the activities scheduled is the 4th annual Orange County K-12 Student Sustainability Showcase in which Orange County kindergarten through 12th grade students give presentations on their experience with sustainability during the current school year.

Another program geared toward K-8 students is the April 19 interactive sustainability exhibits designed as part of the master’s project of environmental studies major Kimberly Gibson.
