Brush Up on Grammar, Enhance Your Narrative for Successful Grant Writing

The Office of Research and Sponsored Projects is holding two workshops to help faculty researchers polish their writing skills when it comes to seeking grant funding.

Both programs will be offered both April 27 and 28 in Room 240 of the Pollak Library.

“Elevating Your Writing” by Alan Paul, president and managing partner of Giant Engstrom Partners, is geared toward faculty from the STEM fields, computer science, management, marketing and health sciences. It will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. p.m. April 27 and 9 a.m. to noon April 28.

“Telling Your Story: Crafting a Comprehensive Research Narrative” with Amanda Swain, executive director of UC Irvine’s Humanities Commons, is best for faculty from the humanities, social sciences, education, communications, arts and creative activities disciplines. The program will be held from 9 a.m. to noon April 27 and 1 to 4 p.m. April 28.
