Cal State Fullerton’s School of Nursing hosts an evening with nursing leader Sister Callista Roy from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 27, in the Ruby Gerontology Center’s Mackey Auditorium.
She is widely recognized for creating the Adaptation Model of Nursing, a theory that views people as biological, psychological and social beings who must constantly adapt to their changing environments.
Roy is professor and nurse theorist at Boston College Connell School of Nursing and a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph. She was designated as a 2007 Living Legend by the American Academy of Nursing.
